The best substituteI have found for proper slivering. Used on the back surface of textured translucent glass, it is virtually impossible to distinguish from professional slivering. On flat glass, the finish is less effective but still the best I have found.
Note - the silvered surface is prone to scratching or rubbing. I use it in a rather specialised application where it is completely protected. For more exposed situations some form of protection would be needed. I have not investigated this aspect.
